About me
Throughout my twenty-two year career as a teacher in Kansas City, I have worked passionately and diligently to provide an exceptional educational experience for my students. Because of these efforts and accomplishments, I have received numerous awards, including the US Department of Education Presidential Scholar Most Influential Teacher Award, the Stanford Exceptional Teaching Award, and the University of Kansas Wolfe Teaching Excellence Award. Recently, I accomplished a life-long goal by completing my doctorate in educational leadership from Baker University, earning dissertation of the year for my work on the social-emotional support systems in high school advisory programs. When I am not in the classroom, you will find me on field trips with my family or on the saddle of my Red Fuji.
