Learn how one teacher is integrating teaching music history with a rewards system in the classroom to promote learning, positive classroom behaviors, and to increase the number of positive interactions with students. Teachers will discuss how they reward students for positive behaviors in the classroom and will learn how to make their own stickers using Canva and google docs.
Using rounds as performance pieces and technical studies in the orchestra classroom! In this session, participants will play different rounds that have been written to enhance learning and create a memorable performance experience. Participants will analyze the scores of these rounds to find places where they can teach specific skills that are listed on our orchestra curriculum check off sheets to all students at once! The goal is to leave this session with musical tools that you can use to teach our curriculum in a fun, musically impactful, and, most importantly, in a time efficient way.
