Think you have what it takes to crack codes, uncover hidden clues, and solve intricate puzzles? Join us for an immersive escape challenge where you’ll dive into the world of phishing and social engineering. As part of a team of "hackers," you’ll use clever techniques to navigate through challenges and unravel the mystery. It’s a fun, hands-on way to boost your cybersecurity awareness! Participants will step into the role of a hacker, using social engineering techniques to navigate a series of challenges designed to highlight the risks of phishing and other cybersecurity threats. Through this interactive experience, attendees will gain practical insights into how cyber attackers exploit human behavior, while learning effective strategies to recognize and defend against these tactics in real-world scenarios. *Note: This session will focus on exploring different social engineering tactics to raise awareness of potential cybersecurity risks. It is not intended to provide guidance on creating escape rooms. Additionally, materials from this session will not be distributed for use outside of the event. This session can only accommodate 30 participants. Members of the SMSD Cyber Competition Team will be on hand to assist.
