This session will model how literacy can be incorporated into a science classroom. The strategies will be focused on supporting our ELL students but will benefit all students. During this session, teachers will have the opportunity to explore the resources shared and implement into a future lesson.
Objectives
- Teachers can identify strategies that support literacy based on a model lesson.
- Teachers can explore resources and modify text to meet the needs of their students.
- Teachers can design a lesson, or portion of a lesson, focused on literacy for an upcoming topic.
