From Chaos to Calm: Cultivating Respect, Routines, and Responsibility in the Classroom FULL
Tuesday February 18, 2025 8:00am - 9:15am CST
Managing a secondary classroom comes with unique challenges. In this session, veteran teachers will offer practical strategies that foster effective classroom management. You'll hear strategies that have worked, what hasn't, and the lessons they've learned along the way. Participants will leave with adaptable techniques for building relationships, maintaining structure, and creating a positive learning environment that supports all students. Whether you're a new teacher looking for tried-and-true advice or a veteran educator seeking innovative approaches, this session has something for everyone!

Staff will
- engage in reflective practices to assess and refine your own classroom management strategies, identifying areas of strength and areas for growth.
- explore techniques for preventing disruptive behavior through proactive management strategies.
- discuss ways to respond to classroom disruptions respectfully and assertively without escalating conflicts.
