This presentation will provide an overview of the basics of vaping and the components of the electronic devices. We will discuss the signs of vaping addiction among students, the health risks of vaping and why they are considered dangerous. The presentation will also review important communication strategies such as motivational interviewing that can be helpful when talking with students. Programs and resources in the community will also be highlighted as a source for educators and families to utilize as they provide education to students and families about a vape free culture and assisting with those who want to quit.
